Floating Goats

The process is actually quite simple (unfortunately I did not take screenshots as I was doing it, and the screens for subscription/cancellation will be different now because I've already done it):

1. Log into your MyDocomo page:

• Go to http://www.mydocomo.com/ and click on the ログイン button.
• Enter your Docomo ID and password (these should be in your signup documents if you've never used mydocomo before).

a. Subscribe to the moperaU service

• From the main menu, click on 各種お申込・お手続き一覧 in the left sidebar
• Find and click on the moperaU link (in the データ通信・ブラックベリー section)
• Tick the box under the text box (indicating that you agree with the terms and conditions) and then click the 次へ button (everything else should be ok from the defaults if you've never used moperaU before).
• A screen will appear showing the summary of actions being taken, click the 次へ button again.
• You should receive a success message saying the application has been submitted.
• You will receive an SMS saying "<mopera Uへようこそ>". Your registration is complete.

b. (optional) Cancel your sp-mode service. This does not have to be done immediately but you will continue to be charged for it until you cancel whether you use it or not. My advice is to do this after you're totally migrated to the new handset and know you will not be using the Docomo handset with the account being migrated again. You will not be able to tether on the Docomo handset after cancelling sp-mode service.

• Return to the main menu by clicking the ホーム button.
• From the main menu, click on 各種お申込・お手続き一覧 in the left sidebar
• Find and click on the spモード link (in the spモード section)
• Click the 次へ button.
• A screen will appear showing the summary of actions being taken, click the 次へ button again.
• You should receive a success message saying the application has been submitted.

2. Insert your SIM card into the Nexus 5 and power it on. Everything else will autoconfigure itself.
